Computer Literacy is perfect for new users or for the beginner who needs a refresher in basic computer skills: basic keyboard skills, word processing and shortcuts, and Internet browsing are covered in this class. This class is comprised of two 3-hour sessions. It is important that you are comfortable with these functions before taking Introduction to HTML.

If you have basic computer skills, and are comfortable with Windows' basic functions (i.e., cut, copy, paste) Internet browsing, and basic keyboard skills, then you are ready for Introduction to HTML. 4-hour classes are held weekly for three weeks and provide the foundation of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) the language of the World Wide Web. This class will teach you the fundamentals of creating your own 'page', basic planning and design strategies for building a user-friendly website, how to manipulate elements of the page --text and graphics--the formatting features of HTML, and how to include HTML links in e-mail's and digital files.

Once you've completed Introduction to HTML, you are ready to utilize your new skills during three 4-hour classes, Create Your Own Website. Discover the process of web design in this hands-on, workshop, as you are walked through the planning and design of creating your own website utilizing tables, intermediate HTML skills, and optimizing graphics.
